After many years, Americans are again able to travel to Cuba under a new ‘People-to-People’ program authorized by the US Treasury Department, which provides an opportunity to interact with Cubans through educational exchanges concerning art, music, culture, and more. I have been to Cuba numerous times and I have teamed up with a company that is one of the very few companies in the United States to be awarded a People to People license by the US Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Itinerary Day 1 : Thur, Sept 3 — Miami - Holguin Meet Miami Airport at specified time and gate to catch our charter flight to Holguin. We will be picked up by our driver/guide and taken to our hotel O/N Hotel El Bosque B, D Day 2 : Fri, Sept 4 — Holguin - Camagüey After breakfast we will make the 4 hour drive (259km) to Camaguey. Camagüey’s historic center is considered the largest as well as the best preserved on the island and has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is full of charming cobblestone plazas, historic statues and intriguing museums. You’ll find plenty of tinajones (earthenware jars) decorating the streets. The people of Camagüey originally produced the jars to collect rainwater during a drought. Today, they are one of the city’s decorative hallmarks. Once we arrive in the afternoon we can do an orientation of the central core of the city. Internet available. O/N Hotel Santa María, Calle República & Ignacio Agramonte B Day 3 : Sat, Sept 5 — Camagüey There is a terrific market where we can spend a couple of hours photographing the locals. There are several churches with towers that offer great city views. Camaguey is a very walkable city and it needs time to be explored. O/N Hotel Santa María, Calle República & Ignacio Agramonte B Day 4 : Sun, Sept 6 — Camaguey - Trinidad We depart Camagüey after breakfast and make the 259km (3.5hr) drive to Trinidad. We arrive Trinidad in time to check in to our hotel and go out for an afternoon shoot followed by dinner. We will have the option of walking to some of the various music venues of Trinidad where we can enjoy the locals playing lively Cuban salsa music. O/N Hotel Las Cuevas B Day 5: Mon, Sept 7 — Trinidad After an early morning shoot in the streets of Trinidad, followed by breakfast, a local professional photographer will accompany us on a personal photo tour of the downtown historical center of Trinidad. Trinidad is one-of-a-kind, a perfectly preserved Spanish colonial settlement where the clocks stopped ticking in 1850 and – apart from the tourists – have yet to restart. Built on huge sugar fortunes amassed in the adjacent Valle de los Ingenios during the early 19th century, the riches of the town's pre–War of Independence heyday are still very much in evidence in illustrious colonial-style mansions bedecked with Italian frescoes, Wedgwood china and French chandeliers. Declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1988, Trinidad's secrets quickly became public property, and it wasn't long before busloads of visitors started arriving to sample the beauty of Cuba's oldest and most enchanting 'outdoor museum'. Yet tourism has done little to deaden Trinidad's gentle southern sheen. The town retains a quiet, almost soporific air in its rambling cobbled streets replete with leather-faced guajiros (country folk), snorting donkeys and melodic, guitar-wielding troubadours. O/N Hotel Las Cuevas B Day 6: Tue, Sept 8 — Trinidad Early morning shoot in the streets of Trinidad. After breakfast our local professional photographer accompanies us to the Valley of Los Ingenios, the Caribbean coast and the highly colorful nature park of Topes de Collantes. O/N Hotel Las Cuevas B Day 7: Wed, Sept 9 — Trinidad - Havana After Breakfast we set out for Havana. It will take us about 5 hours (317km). Once we arrive back in Havana we will check in to our hotel. Later in the afternoon we will walk along the malecón and photograph the people and scenes from this iconic spot. Later we head out to photograph the city's distinctive skyline from one of the best vantage points anywhere. O/N Hotel Palacio O’Farrill, Calle Cuba / Chacón & Tejadillo B Day 8: Thur, Sept 10 — Havana Early morning “first light” walk to the Bay of Havana and the Malecón area to take pictures of Havana at sunrise. We continue on a walk through Old Havana with options to take pictures of the cobbled stoned streets, plazas and colonial buildings. Visit to the Fototeca de Cuba and photo gallery in Conde de Villanueva. O/N Hotel Palacio O’Farrill, Calle Cuba / Chacón & Tejadillo B Day 9: Fri, Sept 11 Our final day in Cuba finds us visiting 4 highly interesting venues in Havana:
